FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to noise suppression. Muffler contains housing consisting of rigidly connected to the end plates cylindrical shell, with fixed thereon axisymmetric to the cylindrical shell inlet and outlet branch pipes. From the inside the cylindrical shell is lined with sound-absorbing element. To the end plate on the outlet branch pipe side and axially symmetric to the housing, the muffler main resonance chamber is attached, which is made in the form of a cylindrical sleeve and consists of sound-absorbing chamber and resonance chamber, formed by rigid partitions, at that, in the resonant chamber at least two additional resonant inserts are located, fixed on the sleeve perpendicular to its axis, at that, the sound-absorbing chamber is formed by the end plate with outlet branch pipe and rigid partition, and also part of the muffler main resonance chamber cylindrical sleeve, which is lined with sound-absorbing material, wherein in the sound-absorbing chamber at least three exhaust bushings are located, fixed on the sleeve perpendicular to its axis, and facing away from the resonance chamber partitions surfaces are lined with sound-absorbing elements, at that, part of the end plate on the sound-absorbing chamber side is lined with sound-absorbing material.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of noise suppression.
