METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF LOCALIZATION OF MAKULA IN CASE OF RETHINOPATHY OF PREMATURE (OPTIONS) Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61F9/00 A61B3/10

Abstract RU 2645411 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely, to ophthalmology, and can be used in order to determine the location of the macula in case of retinopathy of premature (RP). Method is proposed for determining the localization of the macula in case of retinopathy of premature using computer morphometry during the visualization of the optic nerve disk, which has the normal structure. After visualization of the optic nerve disk and the arcade of the temporal arteries, the ellipse is constructed, the circumference of which passes through the center of physiological excavation of the optic disc and of the arcade of the temporal arteries; the center of the ellipse is determined; the straight lines, which pass through the upper and lower poles of the optic disc, parallel to the long axis of the ellipse, are constructed; the circumference of the optic nerve disc is measured; two of its circumferences are laterally laid aside from the temporal pole of the optic nerve disk; the circumference is constructed that passes through the center of the ellipse and is positioned relative to the constructed straight lines and second laid aside circumference dimension of the optic nerve disc, where the given circumference outlines the macula. Method is proposed for determining the localization of the macula in case of retinopathy of premature using computer morphometry during the visualization of the optic nerve disk, which has the abnormal structure. After visualization of the optic nerve disk that has the abnormal structure and of the arcade of the temporal arteries, the ellipse is constructed, the circumference of which passes through the center of physiological excavation of the optic disc and of the arcade of the temporal arteries; the center of the ellipse is determined; the straight lines, which pass through the upper and lower poles of the optic disc, parallel to the long axis of the ellipse, are constructed; the circumference of the optic nerve disc is measured; several dimensions of its circumference are laterally laid down from the temporal pole of the optic nerve disk within the ellipse; the central circumference is determined out of the circumferences, which were laid down in such a way, and it is divided into 4 equal quadrants; while the quadrants are the guide for the diagnostic search for pathological changes in the macula. Method is proposed for determining the localization of the macula in case of retinopathy of premature using computer morphometry in case of posterior aggressive retinopathy. In case of posterior aggressive retinopathy, complete visualization of the optic nerve disc (OND) is impossible. Completing the OND circumference after partial visualization of its boundaries is carried out; the ellipsis is constructed, the circumference of which passes through the center of physiological excavation of the optic disc and of the arcade of the temporal arteries; the center of the ellipse is determined; the straight lines, which pass through the upper and lower poles of the optic disc, parallel to the long axis of the ellipse, are constructed; the circumference of the optic nerve disc is measured; two dimensions of its circumference are laterally laid down from the temporal pole of the optic nerve disk; the circumference is constructed that passes through the center of the ellipse and is positioned relative to the constructed straight lines and second laid aside circumference dimension of the optic nerve disc, where the given circumference outlines the macula.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides for the most accurate definition of the localization of the macula in case of the retinopathy of premature due to the use of various algorithms for the search for the macula, which are caused by various types of the optic disk structure and of its visualization.
