FIELD: nondestructive testing facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to active thermal nondestructive quality control of articles and it can be used to reveal inner defects in plate-type articles, such as blades of aircraft gas-turbine engines. Method includes infra-red survey of object surface, measuring intensity of radiation of object in infra-red spectrum, processing of results of measurement and evaluation of presence of defects. Infra-red surveying of object surface is carried out in direction not coinciding with heat flow vector. Intensity of radiation of object is measured under unstationary conditions, and processing f results of measurements is carried out under regular thermal conditions by calculations gradient of logarithm of radiation intensity in each point of surface.

EFFECT: improved reliability of results of checking by reducing measurement errors.
