SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to cast iron compositions that can be used for casting products operating under thermal loads, for example, molds. Cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 4.0–4.5; silicon 0.8–1.0; manganese 1.0–3.0; chromium 0.1–0.15; barium 0.001–0.005; cerium 0.3–0.5; molybdenum 4.0–6.0; aluminum 1.0–1.5; vanadium 2.0–2.8; iron – the rest.
EFFECT: technical result is higher heat resistance of cast iron.
