SUBSTANCE: invention relates to security monitoring methods and can be used in cases of using a single linear radio wave detector for alarm control of a bending section of a road. In the method for monitoring the road bend by one detector, receiver and transmitter are deployed from opposite sides of the road bend point so that the detection zone of the detector crosses the road in two sections at the appropriate distance from the receiver and transmitter, while the cross-sectional areas of the first Fresnel zone in the sections differ, the direction of the intruder's movement is determined from the value of the ratio of the level of the desired signal that arrived first to the level of the desired signal that arrived second, the maximum value of the alarm accumulation time is set based on the minimum possible speed of the intruder and the distance it travels between the areas of intersection of the detection zone with the road, and a signal about the direction of the intruder's movement is transmitted to the information collection and processing system.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the accuracy of monitoring by determining the direction of the movement of the intruder detected on the road, using only one detector.
