FIELD: surveillance.
SUBSTANCE: area of application: invention relates to methods for security area monitoring and can be used in cases of signalling control of the road using one linear radio-wave detection tool (SO) when an offender detected in the road (a vehicle or a pedestrian offender) needs to be classified. Substance: method consists in deploy the SO in the area with the road section; providing a condition wherein the area of projection of the first Fresnel zone of the detection zone (ZO) of the SO over the road under said condition is several times greater than the area of the silhouette of the person and is comparable to the size of the silhouette of the vehicle, for the purpose whereof, the receiver (PRM) and the transmitter (PRD) of the SO are located on opposite sides of the road, each at a distance of at least 5 meters from the axis of the road; providing the required condition of the ratio of the area of the projection of the first Fresnel zone of the ZO of the SO over the road to the areas of the silhouettes of offenders by reducing the angle of intersection of the axis of the detection tool ZO with the axis of the road; calculating the angle of intersection of the axis of the detection tool ZO with the axis of the road with account for the total length of the detection tool ZO and the distance from the point of intersection of the axis of the road with the ZO axis to the nearest unit - PRM or PRD of the SO, but not more than 45 and not less than 15 degrees; using units to record the small and positive thresholds of the useful signal isolated by the PRM of the SO in the form of a sequence of alternating low modulation depth overshoots and undershoots when the ZO of the SO is crossed by a pedestrian offender; using a unit to record the large threshold of the useful signal isolated by the PRM of the SO in the form of a high modulation depth undershoot when the ZO of the SO is crossed by a vehicle; transmitting, by the PRM of the SO, to the information collection and processing system (SSOI), together with the alarm signal, the information on threshold units or unit having recorded the useful signal; applying an algorithm for classification of the offender detected in the road in the SSOI: the useful signal isolated by the PRM of the SO is recorded by small and positive threshold units - there is a pedestrian offender in the road, the useful signal isolated by the PRM of the SO is recorded by a large threshold unit - a vehicle is moving in the road. The method includes a preparatory stage with deployment of the SO on the road according to the established scheme and a main stage starting with detecting an offender and ending with the identification of their class.
EFFECT: reduction in the time expenditures for the deployment of the SO, increase in the covertness of the application of SO in the area while maintaining a low probability of error in identifying the class of the detected object.
