SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for cleaning light petroleum products, particularly diesel fuels, and is intended to improve the quality of stored and used petroleum products by reducing the content of mechanical impurities, resins, paraffin hydrocarbons, sulfur-containing compounds, improving lubricating and low-temperature properties, as well as optimising the hydrocarbon composition. Method for cleaning diesel fuel is carried out by mixing said fuel with a reagent, followed by settling and removal of mechanical impurities, resins and water, wherein the reagent used is 1–10 % of a saturated aqueous alcohol solution of hydroperite, based on the volume of the fuel to be cleaned, wherein said reagent is supplied to the cleaned fuel stream, after which the combined stream of fuel with the reagent is fed into the nozzle inlet of a static mixer-activator consisting of several chambers, in which the mixture is subjected to a multifactor effect, at a mixture temperature of 45±5 °C for 5–40 minutes.

EFFECT: use of the method will increase the degree of purification of diesel fuel and improve its operational properties.
