SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of processing hydrocarbon raw materials and can be used on AVT-type installations designed for fractional distillation of oil and petroleum products. The invention relates to a method for the primary processing of hydrocarbon raw materials by atmospheric distillation in a distillation column, including the introduction into the processed raw materials of chemical reagents in the form of a solution of alkali NaOH and ultrafine aluminum powder, followed by their mixing, heating the mixture sequentially in the first and second regenerative heat exchangers by means of heat, respectively, coming out from gasoline fraction from the top of the distillation column and diesel fraction coming out of the lateral selection column, ultrasonic treatment of heated raw materials with reagents to ensure a cavitation effect and intensification of the heat exchange process in a gas-liquid medium, followed by heating of raw materials in the third heat exchanger with the heat of the fuel oil fraction coming out from the bottom of the distillation column and further in the furnace before feeding into the distillation column.

EFFECT: decrease in sulfur-containing compounds in the resulting petroleum products, an increase in the yield of light fractions, a decrease in the pour point of medium distillates and an increase in the octane number of the resulting light distillates.
