FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to routers in a mobile communication network, specifically to flow control for a mobile router. Method comprises, according to the total amount of flow bound to a portable router, generating and displaying a flow control widget on the control interface of the portable router, receiving a flow operation on the flow control widget and, according to the flow operation, limiting the flow of the portable router. Flow limiting involves stopping the use of the data network if only blocked flow remains. Furthermore, the invention comprises displaying an indication, asking whether to block flow if there is only blocked flow remains and to remove flow blocking from blocked flow when a command to remove flow blocking is detected.
EFFECT: technical result is to enable the owner of the router to monitor traffic used by users who are able to connect to the router.
