FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aviation equipment and can be used in air traffic management system under conditions of reduced vertical separation intervals. For this purpose, data on horizontal coordinates, geometric and barometric heights are transmitted from an aircraft (AC) in a given area of space using an on-board radio station. Transmitted information is received by a terrestrial radio station, entire volume of data obtained in a given area of space is divided into observation sessions, each of which is defined in space and time. At the first stage, the difference between the geometric and barometric heights is determined for all observable air-crafts using a computational complex, dependence of the differences between the geometric and barometric heights in the function of coordinates and time is constructed, statistical processing of the obtained data is carried out and a preliminary estimate of the systematic error in measuring the barometric height in each aircraft is determined. At the second stage, for each AC, sessions with its participation are selected, according to the results of statistical processing of preliminary error estimates, a systematic component of the measurement error of the barometric height is allocated, wherein the barometric height is compared with a predetermined threshold and the air crafts, at which this error is exceeded, are identified.
EFFECT: wider functionality based on increased reliability of monitoring of systematic errors in measuring the barometric height due to the expansion of the zone of its action, as well as increased sample size in the statistical analysis of measurement results.
