FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: centering device has a base connected to platforms and bearing posts. There is a unit for moving the pipeline in vertical direction is mounted on the base and comprising two jacks fixed by stops on the supporting plate, and rocker arms installed on jacks. The rocker arms serve as supports for power chains. The unit for moving the pipeline in horizontal direction is mounted on the base and consists of a lever winch and a tackle system including two units. One of the units is connected to the pipeline portion, and the other unit is connected to a supporting beam fixed on the bearing posts. In addition to centering of ends, the centering device provides long-term fixation of the pipeline portion for conducting welding operations.
EFFECT: increased centering accuracy of opposite ends of pipeline portions under repair.
