SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of navigational instrument making and can find application in vehicle navigation systems. For this, provided is a combination of the geographical coordinate system in the form of latitude and longitude and the social coordinate system in the form of houses numbers (or, in areas without houses numbering, in the form of numbers of arrays), to allow the user to freely use the social coordinate system relative to the current location determined with GPS. At that, the navigation system to display map data that corresponds to the current location, in which the numbering of houses is displayed above the buildings on map data. Said map data include a topography, a map and buildings, displayed as diagrams, symbols and figures in coordinates, determined by latitude and longitude. In said navigation system, the display output unit displays map data according to the current location obtained by the current position data acquisition unit to determine the current location, as well as displays the numbering of houses according to the coordinate location of the buildings.
