FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fodder production, namely to production of extruded feeds. Dough for obtaining an extruded food product contains, at least 4 % of the type C starch obtained from legume starches; and at least 20 % of native protein sources, in the weight percentage of the protein in the test. Method of heat treatment of the dough provides preliminary conditioning of the dough and its extrusion with steaming, where the moisture content of the dough is 19–35 %. Resulting pellet feed is dried to a moisture level of less than 8 % after extrusion. Extrusion process with steaming the granulated food with a matrix of gelatinized starch comprises providing or forming a dough containing at least 4 % of type C starch, obtained from legumes of leguminous plants; preliminary conditioning of the dough at a humidity level of 19–35 %; extruding the dough with a moisture content of 19–35 %; and drying the extruded dough to form a granulated feed with a moisture content of less than 10 %.
EFFECT: implementation of the group of inventions allows to obtain extruded products with lower density and stiffness, which provides a certain texture of the granulated food, which is easier and more pleasant for chewing and swallowing.
