FIELD: fodder production.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a soft semi-moist fodder composition and a mixed feed composition, as well as to methods for production thereof. Feed compositions contain water, a starch source, a humidifier and an amino acid in free form selected from a group consisting of arginine, histidine, lysine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid and combinations thereof in an amount of at least 0.5 % free amino acid. Compositions have pH from 4 to 8, wherein the free amino acid is charged. In some embodiments, hydrolysed substrates of animal or plant origin are included to provide one or more amino acids.
EFFECT: use of the group of inventions will allow maintaining softness during the whole storage life in a mixture with dry fodder compositions; softness is preserved due to suppression of formation of protein-starch complexes during storage.
