FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an extruded fodder composition for domestic animals integrally including triglycerides with medium length of chain, to a method for production and to a method for development of the fodder food composition recipe, to a method for domestic animals health support. The extruded fodder composition for domestic animals contains from nearly 1 to 60 wt % of protein, from nearly 1 to 50 wt % of carbohydrates, from nearly 1 to 40 wt % of MCT-fat and up to 14 wt % of MCT- sustaining component. The MCT- sustaining component is represented by rice or maize starch, gluten flour, soya seed lobes fibre or cereal crops mixture. The total content of MCT in the composition is equal to 10 - 15 wt %. The MCT of the MCT-fat integrally included into the composition accounts for 2 - 10 wt % of the composition. Coating in the form of thallous fat and in an amount of 2 - 7 wt % of the composition includes at least one MCT other than integrally included into the food matrix. During production of the extruded composition one combines the first portion of MCT-fat with the MCT- sustaining component and other ingredients, extrudes the composition, applies the second portion of MCT-fat in the form of coating onto the extruded composition. For health support, domestic animals are fed with the extruded composition or with a food composition of the developed recipe with the MCT content equal to 15 wt %.
EFFECT: MCT- sustaining component inclusion allows to retain relative large quantity of MCT in the extruded food composition, sustains desirable density, volume, texture, hardness and crunchiness.
