FIELD: pharmacology.

SUBSTANCE: method for silver proteinate production is proposed. A protein hydrolyzate solution and a silver salt solution are prepared in distilled water. The silver salt solution is added to the protein hydrolyzate solution in terms of final silver concentration of not more than 3 wt % and at a silver/protein hydrolyzate weight ratio of 1/5-1/20, the resulting solution is mixed and poured into a flat container until a layer of no more than 5 cm thick is formed. The layer is subjected to electron-beam processing by passing a beam of accelerated electrons through it in an absorbed dose of 5-30 kGy. As protein hydrolyzate, hydrolysates of gelatine, casein, albumin are used, as a water-soluble silver salt - silver nitrate, silver acetate.

EFFECT: invention allows to increase the stability and safety of the antimicrobial activity of the aqueous solution of silver proteinate and to release it in the form of a ready-to-use dosage form with a long shelf life without drying and subsequent extemporal dissolution of the preparation.
