FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: explosion-proof photoelectric smoke detector is designed to prevent ignition of the surrounding gas due to an explosion within the detector, especially by eliminating the need for the resin to fill the space around the light emitting device and the light receiving device and to monitor the explosion caused by deterioration of the resin state. Thus, the detector is designed to be used together with devices exposed to gases in explosion-proof areas. Detector includes light-emitting / light-receiving devices located outside the explosion-proof casing, which contains a circuit compartment, and besides the devices respectively have hollow cylinders A and B, light-emitting / light-receiving elements and transparent elements A and B for transmitting the emitted light and for guiding the received light, wherein the clearance between the tubular wall of each hollow cylinder and each transparent member and the length of each element between the hole formed in each cylinder and its end, intended for the exit / entrance of light, meets the standards for explosion safety.
EFFECT: explosion-proof photoelectric smoke detector is provided to prevent ignition of the surrounding gas due to an explosion within the detector.
