METAL-POLYMER SLIDING BEARINGS MADE OF ORIENTED POLYMERIC NANOCOMPOSITION MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC F16C17/02 F16C33/04 F16C33/12 C08L23/06

Abstract RU 2646205 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in friction units operating under conditions of dry friction and chemically aggressive media. Metal-polymeric sliding bearing consists of a metal sleeve on which a layer of antifriction polymer nanocomposite material is applied. Nanocomposite material is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with an oriented structure. As the filler, fluorinated multi-walled carbon nanotubes in the amount of 0 to 2 wt % are used. Sleeve of the slide bearing can be made of metal or another polymer. Metal-polymer sliding bearings have a reduced coefficient of friction and high wear resistance, and can work in conditions of dry friction. Sliding bearings have the following characteristics: rotation speed – up to 1500 rpm/min; contact load – up to 12 MPa; operating temperature – up to 90 °C; ability to work in dry friction; high corrosion resistance; high abrasion resistance; service life – not less than 5 years.

EFFECT: ability to work under dry friction conditions; high corrosion resistance; high abrasion resistance; service life – not less than 5 years.
