SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering and electric power engineering and can be used to automatically compensate the current of single-phase earth fault in distribution networks with isolated neutral. In the method of setting compensation capacitance current earth fault, in which measure the voltage drop on the CNR network, form the drive pulse in the CNR network, allocate a free component of the transition process in the measured voltage drop at CNR, determine by the allocated free component of the natural frequency of the CNR, determine disregistry of the natural frequency of the CNR with the frequency of the network and adjust the inductance of the arc suppression coil before the elimination of the disregistry, in addition, a non-recursive filtering of zero-phase-sequence voltage synchronized with the drive pulse in the CNR network is performed, zero-phase-sequence current of the network is measured, determine losses in the CNR network, calculate the factor of quality of the network, compare the calculated quality factor with the maximum permissible, if the quality factor is lower than the maximum permissible, then the natural frequency of the ZSC is determined taking into account the losses in this circuit.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the reliability of determination of the natural frequency of the zero-sequence contour (ZSC) 1 cl, and increase the accuracy of the compensation capacitance current earth fault.
