FIELD: machine building; power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering, namely to compressor machines, pumps, motors, etc., having support bearings for a rotating shaft with a loading mass. Method for unloading support bearings of rotating shaft (1) with loading mass (2) is that the counterweight force is created for the weight force of the shaft, and the force directed against the weight force is created before the rotation of shaft (1) begins. Device for implementing the proposed method comprises shaft (1) with loading mass (2), for example 60 tons, for example a telescope, a radar antenna, a hydroelectric generator, etc., bearing assembly (3) including a radial and support bearing, radial bearing (4), yoke (5) made of a soft magnetic material rigidly mounted on lower shaft journal (1) and electromagnet (6). Electromagnet (6) can be equipped with an adjustable power source. Before the electric motor is switched on, electromagnet (6) is turned on. Force arises between electromagnet (6) and yoke (5), partially or almost completely compensating the weight of shaft (1) with loading mass (2). After that, the electric motor is turned on.
EFFECT: technical result: unloading of the support bearing prior to the beginning of the rotation of the shaft or at the time of its rotation, with the possibility of regulating the value of the weight compensation of the shaft with the loading mass.
