FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: magnetically-unloaded hub (hereinafter MUH) is intended for installation in transport wheels, for example, electric vehicles, in rotors of turbines and other devices with rotary rotor or stator. Principle of operation consists in unloading hub bearings by magnets. Magnetically-unloaded hub consists of shaft (1), on which two radial-thrust bearings with seals are pressed, and drum pressed on these bearings with, for example, attachment brackets. Hub is additionally equipped with set of magnets, including one cylindrical hollow permanent magnet (10), which is fixed on drum and magnetized along its axis, and two permanent magnets (12, 13), which are fixed on shaft (1) and magnetized perpendicular to shaft (1). Air between the magnets is air annular gap (11). Air gap (11) eliminates friction between magnets. When force of magnets is equal to load on MUH, friction in bearings is equal to zero. There is a magnetic levitation mode. Various versions of the implementation are realized basing on the operation principle of the MUH. For example, with rotary drum and fixed axis. With rotary axis and fixed drum. With several sets of magnets. With adjustment for vehicle weight change.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of friction force and power consumption for movement, reduced wear and noise and longer service life of hub bearing without reducing quality of adhesion of wheel with road bed.
