FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil preparation and processing, specifically to compositions for deep dehydration and desalting of water-oil emulsions. Composition for dehydrating and desalting water-oil emulsions has been developed, which comprises a mixture of a ethoxylated alkylphenol-formaldehyde resin of formula (1) (component A), where R is isononyl, m is 2–6, n is 4–10, and the XT-420 reagent (component B) is a mixture of polyoxypropylene polyol with molar mass of 3,000 and 2-(8-heptadecinyl-1-[β-hydroxyethyl])-2-imidazoline and a solvent with the following ratio of components, wt%: ethoxylated alkylphenol-formaldehyde resin (component A) 40–49, XT-420 reagent (component B) 1–10, and solvent up to 100. Solvent used is a binary solvent, which is a mixture of toluene and isopropyl alcohol in a ratio of 1:1.

EFFECT: results of tests on the effectiveness of the breakdown of water-oil emulsions of various oils differing in their physicochemical characteristics when using the developed demulsifier showed that it has a high demulsifying efficiency and versatility with the stated component ratios.
