FIELD: crude oil treatment. SUBSTANCE: composition consists of 1 wt part of surfactant and 1 wt part of organic solvent. The former is anionic surfactant selected from group including calcium alkylbenzenesulfonate wherein alkyl moiety contains more that 30 carbon atoms and sodium C{11}-C{17}- alkanesulfonate; nonionic surfactant, in particular oxyethylated alkylphenol with 4 or 10 ethylene oxide groups; products of sulfurization of mixture of aromatic hydrocarbons largely including o-xylene, cumene, propylbenzene, and toluene and that is obtained in production of o- and p-xylenes; oil-soluble surfactants (nonsulfurized hydrocarbon layer); or water-soluble surfactants (aqueous acid tar). Organic solvent is represented by above-indicated mixture of aromatic hydrocarbons. Concentration of composition in oil emulsion should be 5 to 20 g/t. After treatment of crude oil with demulsifying composition salt content comes to 2-4 mg/l at high degree of dehydration. EFFECT: increased dehydration and desalting efficiency. 2 tbl
