FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ceramic and refractory manufacture, in particular the manufacture of ceramic filters for cleaning high-temperature and aggressive liquid and gaseous materials. Ceramic mixture consists of chamotte powder 35–52 wt%, silicon carbide or electrocorundum 12.5–15 wt%, mixtures of refractory clay and feldspar in a ratio of 3:7 32.5–45 wt%, including in the form of an aqueous slip, and dextrin powder 3–5 wt%.
EFFECT: present invention improves mechanical strength of filters, their resistance to corrosive media, while maintaining predetermined porosity and permeability.
