FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Preoperative ophthalmologic examination is performed, the condition of capsular-lenticular lens support, lens topography, refraction, accommodation and lens transparency are determined. Obtained results are awarded scores that summarize. Depending on the amount received, the risk of development of surgical complications during the phacoemulsification of cataracts with the implantation of the intraocular lens (FE+ILI) is predicted. Developed method allows to increase the accuracy of preoperative assessment of the risk of surgical complications in FE+ILI. Increase in accuracy is due to the minimally necessary, but qualitatively significant criteria, the combination of which covered the most important anatomical and physiological characteristics of the lens, demonstrating its status and interaction with the surrounding structures of the eye.
EFFECT: invention may be used to pre-operatively determine the risk of complications in the surgical treatment of cataracts.
