FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electrical traction systems of vehicles. Energy storage arrangement (20) comprises buck converter (5), choke device (4), energy storage device (9) and boost converter (11). Energy storage device (9) through buck converter (5) and choke device (4) can be connected electrical power supply (2). Boost converter (11) is arranged in parallel to energy storage device (9) and buck converter (5). Energy storage device (9) can be charged to a higher voltage level than supply voltage level (2) by electrical energy. Choke device (4) is designed in such a way that it acts as a choke controller and as a mains filter. Energy storage system (30, 40) with multiple energy storage arrangements (31–33, 44–46) and a method of operating energy storage circuit (20) are also disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result enabling use of an energy storage device with higher electrical power.
