SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for receiving/transmitting and displaying data high dynamic range images (HDR). Transmission device (synchronized device) is provided HDR image data over the transmission path to a receiving device (source device). In this case, the transmission device transmits to the receiving device information about the transmission method and/or gamma correction information for the HDR image data. Receiving device performs processing (a decoding process, a gamma correction process, and the like) for the received HDR image data based on the received information about the transmission method and/or the gamma correction information. For example, the transmission apparatus receives from the reception apparatus fragments of information about the transmission method and/or the gamma correction method, which can support the receiving device, selects a method, that the receiving device can support and thus uses the selected method.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the satisfactory performance of the image data transmission between devices in a high dynamic range on a multimedia high-definition interface (HDMI).
