MIRROR ANTENNA (EMBODIMENTS) Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC H01Q15/16

Abstract RU 2646947 C1

FIELD: radio engineering and communications.

SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to the field of radio engineering, namely to the mirror antennas used to receive or transmit a signal. Mirror antenna in both embodiments comprises a frame and a parabolic reflector installed on it and an emitter located in the focus of the reflector. According to the first embodiment, the reflector is formed by coaxial conductive tubular elements arranged at a constant pitch relative to each other, which edges form a reflective parabolic surface. Said tubular elements walls thickness is the same and is not less than 0.0175λ, where λ is the wavelength corresponding to thee operating band maximum frequency, and the pitch between said tubular elements and their lengths are chosen from the condition of ensuring the value of the reflection coefficient from the parabolic reflector of not less than 95 %. In the second embodiment, the reflector is formed by pairs of coaxial conductive tubular elements arranged at a constant pitch relative to each other, which edges form a reflective parabolic surface. Said tubular elements wall thickness b is the same. Said tubular elements in each pair are disposed with a clearance d relative to each other, wherein b+d≥0.0175λ, gap size d≤4b, where λ is the wavelength corresponding to thee operating band maximum frequency, and the pitch between said tubular elements and their lengths are chosen from the condition of ensuring the value of the reflection coefficient from the parabolic reflector of not less than 95 %.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the wind load on the antenna and in simplifying of the antennas production.
