FIELD: protection devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composite particle for use in marking suitable for identifying / authenticating an article. Particle contains at least one superparamagnetic portion and at least one thermoluminescent portion. Superparamagnetic portion contains one or more super-magnetic materials selected from iron oxide, metallic Fe, metallic Co, metallic Ni and their alloys. Thermoluminescent portion contains a ceramic material alloyed with one or more ions selected from transition metal ions and rare-earth ions.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the degree of products protection, reliability of identification and protection against extraneous interference, adulteration and forgery.
