FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: in the cylindrical body of the apparatus along its longitudinal axis, two or several successive mass-exchange units are vertically mounted. Each unit is formed of spiral elements that constitute pairs welded on the top and bottom edges spiral-shaped corrugated or flat walls, and spiral-shaped elements welded together on the side edges and adjoin to each other to form axial and radial spiral slotted channels forming isolated inner and outer cavities. The inner cavity for passing coolant in the radial-spiral direction is limited by the cylindrical body of the apparatus coaxially installed along the axis of the apparatus with a cylindrical shell, the end ring-shaped partitions and includes inner spiral-shaped slotted channels connected to the inlet and outlet nozzles of the coolant. The outer cavity of each block for passing mass exchange media in the direction along the axis of the apparatus is limited by the cylindrical body of the apparatus, by partitions installed horizontally between the adjacent blocks along the height of the apparatus, and includes external spiral-shaped slotted channels connected to the upper and lower parts of the outer cavity. In the lower part of the outer cavity of each block, a separator and a mist eliminator are installed to separate gas from the liquid leaving the outer spiral-shaped slotted channels. The lower part of the outer cavity of each block is connected by a channel with the top of the outer cavity above the adjacent block to pass gas from bottom of outer cavity below the block in the upper part of the outer cavity above the adjacent block. The lower part of the outer cavity of each block installed above is connected by branch pipes to the upper part of the outer cavity of the adjacent lower block for fluid flow distribution device below the installed block. In addition, the lower part of each block outer cavity is connected to the outlet branch to release a portion of liquid: fractions from the apparatus.
EFFECT: provide possibility for performing processes of mass exchange under optimal conditions, reduction of mass and size characteristics and reduction of energy consumption.
