FIELD: performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to extraction of carbon dioxide from exhaust flue gases and can be used in extraction of carbon dioxide from flue gases of virtually any composition. Exhaust flue gas passes through a recuperative heat exchanger and an apparatus for cleaning gas from mechanical impurities before being fed into the absorber. Absorption of carbon dioxide by absorbent is carried out at temperature mode close to isothermal one, besides, direct contact of absorbent with exhaust gas is performed in axial slot channels of heat and mass exchange units of absorber of radial-spiral type. At that, through each heat and mass exchange unit the liquid phase of the absorbent flows downwards in the form of a film along the walls of the axial slotted channels, and the gas phase by direct flow also moves downwards along the same slotted channels. At the same time along the height of the whole absorber the design of the apparatus provides for the movement of the liquid and gas phases in counterflow – the liquid phase from top to bottom, and the gas phase from bottom to top. Removal of heat released during absorption of carbon dioxide and maintenance of temperature mode of absorption close to isothermal one is carried out through walls of spiral slot channels by supply of cooling liquid or other cooling agent into radial-spiral slot channels of heat and mass exchange units. An evaporator is installed in the lower part of the regenerator, and a condenser is installed in the upper part of the regenerator. To maintain optimum temperature of absorbent during desorption of carbon dioxide, heat carrier is supplied into radial-spiral slotted channels of evaporator and lower heat and mass exchange units. To implement the method, a plant for extracting carbon dioxide from flue gases is used.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides an increase in the efficiency of the mass exchange apparatus, the creation of a highly efficient, environmentally friendly, energy-saving method and installation for extracting carbon dioxide from exhaust gases, use of gas with any concentration of carbon dioxide as raw material, higher reliability and safety during operation of plants for extracting carbon dioxide from exhaust gases.
