FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in supercharged internal combustion engines. Method, in which engine (10) is supercharged, means that if the margin to compressor (162) surge limit exceeds a threshold value, then engine (10) is operated with supercharge and valve (158) is maintained connecting the outlet of compressor (162) to the inlet of compressor (162) in the semi-open position being the default position. If the specified margin is less than the specified threshold value, valve (158) is changed from the semi-open position to the fully open position. When the required torque is temporarily increased by the vehicle driver, valve (158) is changed from the semi-open position to the fully closed position. Version of the method for operating a supercharged engine and a vehicle system are disclosed.

EFFECT: technical result is to prevent surging of the compressor.
