SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines. Method for operating engine (10) is to provide recirculation of one quantity of compressed air from the downstream area of turbo-air cooler (18) to the inlet of compressor (114) through first compressor recycle passage (70) through Venturi tube (74). Recirculation is provided on the basis of the required flow rate of the exhaust gases recirculation (EGR) system with simultaneous recirculation of another quantity to compressor inlet (114) through second recycle passage (80) of the compressor, excluding Venturi tube (74) on the basis of the surge margin. Vacuum is used created in Venturi tube (74) to suck in gases of EGR system (50), (51), (52) into the inlet port of compressor (114). Invention discloses the engine operation method variants and the engine system.
EFFECT: technical result is to prevent the need to reduce pressure at the inlet of the compressor and to increase the surge margin.
