FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electromagnetic tests for evaluating the security of an object from powerful electromagnetic influences. Essence: set the coefficient of exceeding the normative value of the intensity of the influencing electric field above the level, permissible for the equipment components of the tested object, located in a shielded room. In the case of an electromagnetic action on the test object by an electric field weakened by a value of a given excess ratio, the values of the electric field strength outside the object and in a shielded room with equipment are recorded. At an intermediate value of the level of electric field strength inside a shielded room with equipment, recalculated by a given excess ratio, electromagnetic effect on the equipment is reproduced in a shielded room, gradually increasing the level of the electric field strength to a value, corresponding to the level of the electric field inside the shielded room under the normative electromagnetic influence, weakened by the value of the specified excess ratio. If there is a response of the equipment to the electromagnetic influence inside the screened room, the increase in the level of the electric field strength is terminated, tests are suspended and the activities are carried out to ensure electromagnetic protection of the test facility or its equipment. If there is no response, the tests are completed. System contains a source of electromagnetic interference, electric field strength meter, located in close proximity to the test object, additional source of electromagnetic interference and an additional meter for the strength of the electric field, located inside the screened room of the research object. Source of electromagnetic influence is made in the form of a thrown electromagnetic munition equipped with an explosive magnetic generator and a remote fuze.
EFFECT: technical result: the possibility of assessing the effect of electromagnetic interference on large-sized objects, the components of equipment are located in shielded enclosures in a shielded room.
