FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in microwave technology, in particular in the satellite television equipment for reception of waves with circular field polarization. Polarizer consists of a piece of a circular waveguide and a phase-shifting section located in it, made in the form of a grid of flat rectangular conductors located on a thin rectangular dielectric plate. In this case, one flat rectangular conductor is made in the form of a wide rectangular conductor located symmetrically in the central part of the dielectric plate, and at the edges of the dielectric plate there is at least one narrow rectangular conductor symmetrically disposed at each edge. Moreover, waveguide polarizer is made with the possibility of combining the capacitive conductivity of narrow rectangular conductors with the equivalent capacitive conductivity of the edges of the dielectric plate.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide a high level of polarization isolation in the operating frequency range, acceptable longitudinal dimension, simplicity of design and processability.
