FIELD: radio engineering; satellite television.
SUBSTANCE: proposed waveguide polarizer has round waveguide section and slow-wave phase-shifting section disposed in plane crossing waveguide axis and made, for instance, in the form of two rows of posts having capacitive type of conductivity. Installed in waveguide in perpendicular plane is correcting fast-wave section that has two bent conductors of inductive type of conductivity. Phase-shifting section is disposed in same waveguide section as slow-wave section. Inductive type of conductivity of spirals is ensured due to selecting their resonant frequency below polarizer low operating frequency. Each bent resonance-tuned correcting conductor is made in the form of section of many times bent line, for instance spiral or meander. Spirals are disposed in waveguide central part, wound on tubular dielectric holders, and disposed to make no contact with waveguide wall. Correcting phase-shifting section provides for uniform differential phase shift of polarizer within operating frequency band and high level of polarization decoupling.
EFFECT: simplified design, reduced longitudinal size, enhanced operating reliability.
