FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to olefin resin (β), satisfying the following requirements (I) – (VI), and including propylene-resin compositions thereof. (I) resin (β) includes a grafted olefin polymer [R1] comprising a backbone consisting of ethylene/α-olefin copolymer, and a side chain consisting of a propylene polymer. (II) Ratio of the amount contained in the resin (β) propylene polymer P weight% in the range of 5 to 60. (III) If the ratio of the amount of the component(s) having the maximum temperature on the differential elution curve, obtained by cross-fractionation chromatography (CFC) using o-dichlorobenzene as a solvent is less than 65 °C, to quantity (β) to take as E the weight% then the quantity represented by the equation a = (100-E)/P, with respect to the ratio E and the ratio P, is 1.4 or more. (IV) Melting point (Tm) and the glass transition temperature (Tc), measured with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), are in the range from 120 to 165 °C and in the range from -80 to -30 °C respectively. (V) Part insoluble in hot xylene is less than 3 % by weight. (VI) Intrinsic viscosity [η], measured in decalin at 135 °C, is in the range of 0.5 to 5.0 dl/g.
EFFECT: propylene resin composition obtained from a resin (β) and polypropylene, has an excellent balance between stiffness and impact strength.
