SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling. Method includes influencing the geometry of the rolled material in the form of slabs or a roughing strip during the rolling process carried out in the rolling stand by means of two processing units (6, 8), which are made in the form of a vertical stand, a lateral guide or a lateral force device, and are located on both sides of the rolled material, herewith force adjustment is performed in one processing unit (6) basing on nominal force (F), and in the other processing unit (8) position adjustment is performed. Improvement in the geometry of rolled material (4), in particular when processing asymmetric rolled material (4), is achieved due to the fact that a midpoint between two processing units (6, 8) is preset, wherein position-adjusted processing unit (8) is moved in accordance with the movement of force-adjusted processing unit (6) with a change in the interval between them in such a way, that midpoint (14) between both processing units (6, 8) always remains in the preset position.

EFFECT: method of rolling is proposed.
