FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: steel thin and/or thick slabs cast in advance on the installation of continuous molding and heat to the cogging temperature in the tunnel furnace or in the furnace with walking beams and roll in a rolling mill line, then the received strip is cooled and winded in rolls. The task is solved in the following way: the rolling mill line is organised by a line of dummy roughing cogging stands and finishing stands; enter the cuts of thin slabs arriving through the tunnel furnace from installation of continuous molding or cross-section brought in a rolling mill line the cuts of thick slabs which arrive from the furnace with walking beams, or cuts of thin slabs. The cuts are entered on a corresponding place of a rolling line depending on their width immediately into roughing cogging stands or supply through open roughing cogging stands, or supply immediately before the first cogging stand of the finishing stand of the rolling mill, and then finally roll in a finishing stand of the rolling mill.

EFFECT: provision of continuous cogging at the maximum loading of a line of the rolling mill depending on the hot strip quality standards and roll wear reduction.
