FIELD: metrology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metrology, in particular to a method for determining natural oscillation frequencies of a mechanical system. Method for determining natural oscillation frequencies of a mechanical system, comprising fixing an electric motor to the structure, on the shaft of said electric motor, a freely adjustable pendulum with a changeable inertia moment of its mass is installed by using a rolling bearing, and when the shaft of the electric motor rotates, the pendulum due to friction in the support depending on its inertia moments of starts to rotate with different angular velocities (frequencies) of rotation and these rotational speeds, which are measured by an optical tachometer, determine the resonance oscillation frequencies of the mechanical system (structure). Natural circular oscillation frequencies of the mechanical structure are determined by the occurrence of an event in which the angular rotation velocity of the pendulum differs from the angular rotation velocity of the electric motor shaft, and then, changing the mass inertia moment of the pendulum both in the direction of increasing and decreasing by hanging or removing weights from the pendulum's rod, remaining circular natural oscillation frequencies of the structure are determined.
EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of measuring the natural (resonance) oscillation frequencies of mechanical systems.
