FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to a device and a method for mixing loose rock of varying mineral composition. Device for mixing loose rock of varying mineral composition has various mineral components to produce a mixed rock having specified fractions of various mineral components. Device comprises: a conveyor for transporting loose rock in the direction of movement and locating it in the direction of movement along the conveyor, a first container, configured to load rock of variable mineral composition onto a conveyor, a second container and a third container. Both containers, the second and third, are configured to separately load rock from various individual rock components to the rock being transported. Device comprises an acoustic mineral detector unit located on the conveyor in the direction of movement after the first container and before the second and third containers. Acoustic mineral detector unit is made with the possibility of detecting the fractions of various mineral components in the transported rock and adjusting the amount of different individual rock that is loaded separately from the second or the third container based on the detected fractions to produce mixed rock with predetermined fractions of various mineral components.

EFFECT: technical result is an improvement of the homogeneity of the mineral composition.
