FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for dehydrating an ethanol feedstock for the production of ethylene and subsequent oxidation of ethylene to ethylene oxide comprising the step of evaporating feed containing said ethanol feedstock and at least a portion of the dilution water flow containing reusable ethanol, to produce vaporized feedstock, dehydration of mixture comprising said vaporized feed and vapor flow of dilution water containing ethanol, separating the dehydration effluent into ethylene and water effluents, a purification step of at least a portion of the flow comprising water, and separating at least one purified water flow and dilution water flow containing ethanol, recycling and vaporizing at least a portion of the separated diluting water, containing ethanol and leaving the separation stage, by partial or complete vaporization in the heat exchanger as a result of heat exchange with the quench flow obtained form the oxidation, said quench flow after cooling being returned to one or more reactors of the oxidation stage, and oxidation of ethylene in the effluent comprising ethylene into ethylene oxide, where this oxidation step comprises at least one tubular oxidation reactor cooled by vaporization of said quench flow.

EFFECT: method for dehydrating ethanol feed is proposed.
