SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the use of semipermeable membranes for separation of solutions and can be used for effective and deep cleaning of solutions of neutral amino acids from mineral salts. Method of desalting solutions of neutral amino acids, including the use of alternating cation-exchange and anion-exchange membranes filling the space between each pair of membranes forming the deionization section with an ion-conducting material, characterized in that the desalting of the solutions is carried out by electrodeionization at a current density of 2 mA / cm2, and as the filler of the deionization sections, a strong acid cation exchanger and a strongly basic anion exchanger are used in the ratio, maintaining pH close to the isoelectric point of the amino acid, wherein the amino acid solution is passed through the space, filled with a mixture of a cation exchanger and an anion exchanger, with distilled water circulating in the concentration chambers, and a solution of sodium sulfate is fed into the electrode chambers.

EFFECT: technical result is a desalinization of solutions of neutral amino acids by not less than 98%, with amino acid losses not exceeding 3%, in addition, a reduction in the required current density.
