RIGID NANOCOMPOSITE FILM FOR USE IN ABSORBENT PRODUCT Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC B32B27/06 B32B27/12 A61F13/53 C08J5/18

Abstract RU 2648076 C2

FIELD: manufacturing procedure.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to absorbent article comprising liquid permeable layer; generally liquid impermeable layer that contains a film having a thickness of 50 micrometers or less, wherein the film comprises a layer that is formed from a polymer composition, the polymer composition comprising an ethylene polymer, a nanoclay containing an organic surface treating agent, and a polyolefin compatibilizer, which comprises an olefin component and a polar component; and absorbent core disposed between the liquid-permeable layer and the generally liquid-impermeable layer. Absorbent article comprises an ethylene polymer, which is a copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin. Invention also relates to a film having a thickness of 50 micrometers or less, wherein the film comprises a layer that is formed from a polymeric composition, the polymer composition comprising 75 to 99 by wt. % copolymer α-olefin/ethylene, 0.5 to 20 % by weight % nano-clay, comprising an organic surface treating agent and from 0.1 to 10 by wt.% of a polyolefin compatibilizer that contains an olefin component and a polar component, the film having a maximum elongation of 400 % or more in the longitudinal direction and a tensile strength of from 20 to 150 MPa in the longitudinal direction and / or in the transverse direction.

EFFECT: invention allows by selective regulation of a particular type and concentration of the components used to form film, with which it is formed, to significantly improve the modulus and tensile strength of the film, with no adverse effect on its ductility properties.
