SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, in particular, to devices for data collection with the help of acoustic waves in photo acoustic tomography. Information acquisition device that receives acoustic waves from an object and collects information about an object comprises a detector including a plurality of recording elements, which receive acoustic waves and output the output signal of the detector, the plurality of recording elements being arranged such that the reception surfaces of the plurality of recording elements face the same region, scanning unit for changing the relative position of the detector relative to the object by moving at least one of the elements that are the object and the detector, signal processing unit for acquiring boundary information of an object that performs signal processing using boundary information and a plurality of detector output signals collected by changing the relative position of the scanning unit.
EFFECT: device that takes acoustic waves from an object and collects information about the object is proposed.
