FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of transport, in particular to internal combustion engines. Proposed are method and device for controlling the operation of engine with injector fuel injection in self-idling mode (SIM). Method consists in generating control signal by changing the states of waiting and information exchange between electronic control unit (ECU) and regular engine controller in the low-speed range of the crankshaft rotation. Mode is switched on and off by the command signals sent from speed mode controller and sensors of vehicle's clutch pedal and gearshift lever position sent to ECU. During the waiting or exchange of information between ECU and engine controller the controller is reprogrammed to reprocess stripped composition of the fuel mixture and crankshaft (CS) is transition to the required lower speed of rotation predetermined by speed controller, or to the rotational speed of CS typical for standard SIM. Conversion of control signal levels between ECU communication standards and controller is done by the serial channel adapter.

EFFECT: technical result is reduced fuel consumption of engine with injector injection.
