FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to an aluminum-based alloy, as well as an article of said alloy, and can be used in the production of electrical products for the manufacture of cable and wire products for the electrical wiring of buildings and structures. Conductive alloy based on aluminum contains, in mass%: iron 0.3-1.0, silicon 0.04-0.15, nickel 0.005-0.2, copper 0.1-0.3, aluminum is the rest, and is characterized by a structure, which is a matrix formed by an aluminum solid solution, in which the iron-containing particles are evenly distributed in an amount of not less than 1% by volume, having an average size of not more than 3 μm, the total amount of silicon and copper in the alloy not exceeding 0.35% by weight. Alloy can be obtained in the form of wire rod or wire.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the technological plasticity of wire rod or wire obtained from the proposed alloy due to the formation of compact particles of iron-containing phases of eutectic origin.
