FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used to produce deformed semi-finished products in the form of profiles of different cross-sections. Method for producing a deformed semi-finished product from an aluminum-based alloy includes preparation of aluminum-containing iron and at least one alloying element selected from the group consisting of zirconium, silicon, magnesium, copper, scandium, strontium, manganese and nickel, production of a cast billet of continuous length by crystallizing melt at a cooling rate, providing formation of a cast structure with a dendritic cell size of not more than 60 mcm, hot rolling of the cast preform to obtain a deformed intermediate product of a final or intermediate cross-section at an initial preform temperature of not more than 520 °C with degree of deformation up to 60 %, deformed semi-finished product having a structure consisting of an aluminum matrix with at least one selected doping element and eutectic particles having transverse dimension of not more than 3 mcm is obtained.
EFFECT: method provides a cumulative high level of physical and mechanical characteristics, in particular a high level of relative elongation of not less than 10 %, time resistance to rupture and high level of conductivity, for one technological stage of production.
