FIELD: forestry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forestry, in particular to the formation of high-quality branchless wood of Norway spruce. At the age of 15–20 years in the homogeneous forests or wild stands of Norway spruce, having a high growth class (Ia-II), target large trees are selected. On the selected trees, snedding is carried out, 5–6 upper live whorls are left. With an annual growing of one upper whorl, also annually snedding of one lower is carried out, keeping the original 5–6 whorls.
