FIELD: forest growing. SUBSTANCE: method involves selecting 35-40-year trees from the plantation in the number sufficient for growing normal maturity forest. Then improvement cutting is carried out at the expense of other trees. The undercanopy cultures are planted in the number of 4-6 trees at a distance of up to 1.5 m around the merchantable trees and half-decayed old stumps.
